Description

Methoxsalen(Oxsoralen) is a member of the psoralens family of drugs. It is used to treat.vitiligo, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis are some skin diseases.

It functions by giving the afflicted areas new color for vitiligo, a skin disorder where the skin loses color in sporadic spots. It is used in conjunction with high-intensity ultraviolet A (UVA) light treatment for psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. It might take months to complete the therapy.

For Vitiligo Use once a week to a few depigmented patches (patches losing skin color), and expose to UV radiation for no longer than one minute.
